Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has been texting Marco Verratti, according to reports in France
Jose Mourinho has been sending text messages to Manchester United target Marco Verratti amid talk of a potential move to Old Trafford, according to reports in the French media.
The Paris Saint-Germain midfielder has been a key part of Laurent Blanc’s side over the past number of seasons as the French capital’s club continue their Ligue 1 dominance.
Verratti and PSG won their fourth successive French top-flight crown earlier this season after falling short in the Champions League following an aggregate defeat by Manchester City.
United appointed Mourinho as their manager last month despite Louis van Gaal ending the club’s three-year trophy drought with success in the FA Cup thanks to a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace.
According to French radio station Europe 1, United manager Mourinho has been sending regular messages to Verratti, fuelling talk of an imminent move to Old Trafford.
