Jose Mourinho has reportedly identified Kostas Manolas as his top transfer target this summer as the new Manchester United manager looks to bolster his defensive options at Old Trafford.

The Portuguese coach finally put pen to paper on a three-year contract with the Red Devils last week after days of speculation linking him with the Old Trafford job.

Attentions have now inevitably turned towards the summer transfer window and Mourinho’s plans to bolster his squad ahead of his first full season in charge at Old Trafford.

Defender Manolas has been touted as a target for the Red Devils in recent days.

And now, Italian football expert Emanuele Giulianelli has confirmed that the Greece international has emerged as Mourinho’s top target.

He tweeted on Tuesday:
