Key Man United star tells Jose Mourinho he wants to stay – report

David De Gea wants to stay at Manchester United beyond the summer, say reports

David De Gea has told Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho that he wants to stay at Old Trafford beyond the summer transfer window, according to reports.

The Spanish goalkeeper’s future has inevitably been a relentless source of speculation in recent weeks after he came so close to joining Real Madrid last summer.

De Gea was on the verge of signing for Los Blancos, only for the deal to fall through last summer before he ended up committing to United.

The goalkeeper has been constantly linked with a move to Real Madrid in recent weeks.

However, the Spain international, who is currently on duty at Euro 2016, is planning to stay at Old Trafford beyond the summer, according to The Sun.

Mourinho is preparing for his first season in charge at the club after being appointed as Louis van Gaal’s successor on a three-year contract last month.
