Lee Dixon comments on prospect of Arsenal’s second signing

Lee Dixon has his say on Jamie Vardy's proposed summer transfer to Arsenal

Lee Dixon believed that Jamie Vardy’s apparent decision to take his time considering whether he wants to join Arsenal this summer is “a sign of the times”.

The north London side are believed to have tabled a bid to bring the Leicester City forward to The Emirates as they look to bolster their attacking options ahead of next season.

Vardy was one of the Premier League’s standout performers last season, scoring 24 goals in the top flight to help Leicester win the title.

Arsenal are widely reported to have offered Vardy a lucrative four-year contract to move to The Emirates and work under Arsene Wenger.

However, the forward has been taking his time over the decision as he mulls over the offer from the north London side.

And former Arsenal man Dixon feels that the fact that Vardy is stalling over his decision says a lot about the Gunners’ present situation.
