Now, the Daily Express is reporting that Liverpool are on the verge of completing a deal to sign Herrera from Porto this summer.
Liverpool have already signed Loris Karius, Marko Grujic and Joel Matip for this summer as they prepare to make their fourth signing under Klopp.
And the newspaper story states that the Reds have agreed terms with Porto for the transfer of Herrera.
Liverpool are expected to be one of the busiest clubs in the transfer window as they bid to challenge for Champions League qualification next season.
