Liverpool face new Premier League competition for £10m Croatia star – report
West Ham will rival Liverpool for Ante Coric, according to Daily Star
Liverpool will do battle with West Ham United for the signing of Croatia’s rising star Ante Coric, according to reports in the British media.
The Dinamo Zagreb playmaker is one of the most-coveted youngsters in Europe after having starred for club and country over the past 12 months.
Coric is currently part of the Croatia squad for Euro 2016 and his national team were knocked out of the competition following a 1-0 extra-time defeat by Portugal in the last 16 over the weekend.
Liverpool have been linked with the Croatian starlet in recent weeks as Jurgen Klopp looks to further strengthen his squad ahead of the 2015/16 Premier League season.
However, according to Daily Star, Croatian manager Slaven Bilic has launched an effort to sign Liverpool target Coric.
The Croatian teenager has scored 10 goals in 67 appearances for his current employers, Dinamo Zagreb.
Manchester City have also been linked with the Zagreb playmaker following the appointment of Pep Guardiola earlier this year.
Liverpool completed the £34m signing of Sadio Mane on Tuesday afternoon.
