Liverpool firmly in race to sign Porto star this summer – report

Liverpool are closing in on securing the transfer of Hector Herrera from Porto this summer, say reports

Liverpool are firmly in the race to sign Porto star Hector Herrera in the summer transfer window, according to reports.

The Reds are expected to be one of the busiest Premier League clubs in the summer transfer window as Jurgen Klopp prepares for his first full season in charge at Anfield.

Manchester United are thought to be long-term admirers of Herrera but the Red Devils are yet to firm up their interest in the player.

Now, Metro is reporting that Liverpool are edging closer towards concluding a deal to bring the 26-year-old to the Merseyside outfit.

Herrera has scored 19 goals in 111 games for Porto since making his debut for the club back in 2013.

Klopp is expected to continue to revamp his squad in the coming weeks and months as he prepares for his first full campaign in England.
