Liverpool handed boost after agent confirms £9.5m midfielder won’t join Napoli
Liverpool target Piotr Zielinski won't be joining Napoli this summer, according to his agent
Liverpool have been handed a transfer boost after Pitor Zielinksi’s agent insisted that the Empoli midfielder won’t be going Napoli this summer.
The Poland international has been heavily linked with a move to Anfield since the end of the Premier League season after an impressive two-year loan spell at Empoli.
Zielinski, whose parent club is Serie A outfit Udinese, is currently on international duty with Poland at this summer’s European championship in France.
The Polish playmaker was thought to be on a brink of a move to Serie A outfit Napoli earlier this month following his eye-catching spell at Empoli.
However, Zielinksi’s agent has rubbished talk of a move to the Naples club amid ongoing talk of an imminent £9.5m switch to 18-time English champions Liverpool.
“To be honest, there’s no chance of the player going to Napoli,” Bartlomiej Bolek told Italian radio station Radio Crc.
The Poland man scored five times and made four assists in 30 Serie A appearances last season, attracting interest from Jurgen Klopp’s Reds this summer.
