Liverpool in pole position to sign £25m Premier League striker – report

Liverpool are thought to be leading the race to sign Sadio Mane in a £25m deal, according to Daily Star

Liverpool are closing in on Southampton striker Sadio Mane, according to reports in the English media.

The Senegal international has been linked with a move away from St Mary’s this summer, with Arsenal and Manchester United thought to be rivalling Liverpool in the race for Mane.

The African’s Saints manager Ronald Koeman swapped the south coast club for Everton earlier this month to add to the uncertainty surrounding Mane’s future at St Mary’s.

According to the Daily Star, Liverpool are in pole position to sign £25m-rated Mane this summer ahead of their Premier League rivals as Jurgen Klopp looks to bolster his attacking options.

Arsenal and United target Mane scored 11 times and made six assists in 37 Premier League games for the Saints in the 2015/16 season.
