Liverpool ready to table £25m bid for Arsenal star – report
Liverpool are keen to sign Theo Walcott in a £25m deal from Arsenal, according to reports
Liverpool are thought to have sounded out Arsenal striker Theo Walcott over a potential move to Anfield, according to reports.
The England forward endured a disappointing season for Arsene Wenger’s side after falling out of favour in the second half of the 2015-16 campaign.
Walcott fell behind Arsenal strikers Olivier Giroud, Danny Welbeck and Joel Campbell in the pecking order at the Emirates Stadium.
The 27-year-old scored just five goals and made two assists in 28 Premier League games for the Gunners last season.
According to the Daily Star, Liverpool have made contact with Walcott over a proposed £25m move for the England man.
The Reds are thought to be ready to offer the former Southampton forward a four-year deal.
Walcott netted nine times and created three goals for team-mates in 43 appearances in all competitions for Arsenal last term.
