Liverpool set to rival Arsenal in race to sign Premier League star – report

Liverpool are ready to join Arsenal in the race to sign Jamie Vardy this summer, say reports

Liverpool are considering rivalling Arsenal in the race to sign Jamie Vardy from Leicester City this summer, according to reports.

The north London side have been heavily linked with a bid to bring Vardy to Emirates Stadium in recent days after Arsenal reportedly triggered the £20m release clause in the striker’s contract.

Arsenal are said to have offered Vardy a lucrative four-year contract to move to the club this summer.

However, the player appears to be in no rush to make a decision about his future and is said to be willing to wait until after his involvement in Euro 2016 with England.

Now, the Daily Star is reporting that Liverpool are considering joining the race to sign Vardy this summer as Jurgen Klopp looks to strengthen his attacking options at Anfield.
