Liverpool step up pursuit of £40m Premier League star – report

Southampton will demand at least £40m from Liverpool to sign Sadio Mane this summer, say reports

Southampton have placed a £40m price tag on Sadio Mane as Liverpool step up their interest in signing the player this summer, according to reports.

Liverpool have been heavily linked with a move to sign the Senegal forward from Southampton as Jurgen Klopp looks to bolster his attacking options at Anfield.

The German coach is currently preparing for his first full season in charge of the Merseyside outfit and is said to be keen to bring the forward to the club.

Now, The Sun is reporting that Southampton will demand at least £40m for the 24-year-old during this summer’s transfer window.

The same newspaper report goes on to say that Manchester United were keen to sign the forward last summer but a move to Old Trafford failed to materialise.
