Liverpool in talks to sign £4m Belgian midfielder – report

Liverpool are lining up a £4m bid to sign Samuel Bastien this summer, according to reports

Liverpool have opened talks over the possibility of signing Anderlecht teenager Samuel Bastien in a £4m deal this summer, according to reports.

The Reds are believed to be on the lookout for a number of reinforcements as Jurgen Klopp prepares for his first full season in charge at Anfield.

The German coach is understood to be a keen admirer of the 19-year-old, who is currently on holiday in Spain.

Now, the Daily Mail is reporting that Liverpool are lining up a £4m bid for the teenager as Klopp looks to bolster his squad.

Bastien has been on loan at Italian side Avellino but now it is now understood that Liverpool are the leaders in the race for his signature.

The same report goes on to say that the Anfield club held talks about the possibility of signing Bastien in March and are now following up their interest in the teenager.
