Mamadou Sakho believes new Liverpool signing Sadio Mane enjoy life at Anfield following his big-money move.
The Senegal international has put pen to paper on a new long-term contract on Tuesday afternoon after the 18-time English champions agreed a £30m deal with Southampton.
The 24-year-old, who was previously linked with a move to Manchester United, scored 11 times and made six assists in 37 Premier League games for the Saints in the 2015/16 season.
Sakho, who was born to Senegalese parents despite representing France, has delivered his verdict on the new Liverpool signing after the Reds confirmed the deal on Tuesday morning.
“We met two or three times on the pitch and in the tunnel,” Sakho Senegal media outlet RTS 1.
“It’s already been four years that I’ve been at this fantastic club and he will discover that by himself.”
Jurgen Klopp signed Germany Under-21 goalkeeper Loris Karius in a £4.7m deal from Bundesliga side Mainz earlier this summer.
The Reds have already acquired Serbian midfielder Marko Grujic and Cameroon international Joel Matip ahead of the new 2016/17 season.
Liverpool finished in eighth place in the Premier League table last term.
