Man United blow as Brazil superstar ready to commit to Barcelona – report

Neymar will sign a new five-year deal with Barcelona, according to the Daily Mirror

Neymar is on the brink of signing a new long-term contract with Barcelona despite interest from Manchester United, according to a report in the British media.

The Brazilian forward has been linked with a potential move away from Camp Nou in the summer transfer window amid ongoing talks with the Catalan side over a new contract.

Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain were thought to have been prepared to offer the South American a huge contract, while United were also linked with the Barcelona striker.

According to the Daily Mirror, PSG and United’s hopes of signing Neymar are set to be dashed with the Brazilian ready to sign a new five-year deal with Barcelona ahead of the 2016/17 La Liga season.

The 25-year-old’s new contract is expected to contain a £190.2m release clause as Barcelona attempt to deter any potential suitors from looking to lure Neymar away from Camp Nou.
