Man United blow as £28m striker makes Liverpool admission – report
Some Man United supporters may be concerned by Breel Embolo's admission
Manchester United have suffered a transfer blow after Breel Embolo made an admission that may concern some Red Devils supporters.
The Red Devils were thought to be leading the race to sign one of Europe’s hottest prospects as Jose Mourinho looks to bolster his attacking options ahead of the 2016/17 Premier League season.
Basel are thought to have placed a £28m price tag on the 19-year-old’s head amid interest from United’s Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur and Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach.
The Switzerland international scored 12 times in 35 appearances in all competitions for Basel last season as he cemented his rising status in European football.
However, in an admission that may concern United supporters, Embolo has revealed what song he would like to be played at his funeral, which happens to be the anthem of their biggest rival.
“My favourite song perhaps; ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’,” Embolo told Schweizer Illustrierte.
Mourinho was appointed as the new United manager after Louis van Gaal was sacked following a fifth-place finish in the Premier League last term.
