Man United boost as agent reveals talks for £32m Euro 2016 midfielder
Man United target Marek Hamsik is set for talks with Napoli, says his agent
Marek Hamsik is planning talks with Napoli amid reported interest Chelsea and Manchester United, according to his agent.
The Slovakia international has been one of the stars of Euro 2016 so far after the 28-year-old inspired his national team to a vital 2-1 victory over Russia in their second Group B game.
Hamsik scored a brilliant solo goal to net Slovakia’s second against the Russians ahead of their final Euro 2016 group-stage game against Roy Hodgson’s England side next week.
Unsurprisingly, the Napoli midfielder has been linked with a big-money move to the Premier League in the wake of his impressive performances, with Chelsea and United reportedly interested.
Hamsik’s agent Juraj Venglos revealed that the midfielder is due to have talks with the Serie A club over his long-term future in the coming weeks.
“Hamsik is already at a big club,” Juraj Venglos told Radio Crc.
“In the coming days I’ll meet [Partenopei President Aurelio] De Laurentiis and [sporting director Cristiano] Giuntoli, but I can’t say any more at the moment.
“Since the talks haven’t happened yet, I can’t be any more precise.”
The Napoli captain scored an impressive six times and made 11 assists for team-mates in 38 Serie A appearances last season.
