Manchester United have been handed a significant boost in their pursuit of Henrikh Mkhitaryan this summer, according to reports.

The Red Devils are believed to be keen to sign the playmaker from Borussia Dortmund this summer as Jose Mourinho looks to bolster his squad ahead of his first season in charge at Old Trafford.

United have been heavily linked with a bid for Mkhitaryan in recent days, and speculation that the Red Devils are closing in on their second signing of the summer has been intensifying in recent days.

Now, the Manchester Evening News is reporting that Borussia Dortmund have tabled a bid for Bayer Leverkusen star Karim Bellarabi, who’d be a likely replacement for Mkhitaryan.
