Manchester United are in a £80m fight with Real Madrid in the battle to sign Paul Pogba from Juventus this summer, according to reports.
The Red Devils are believed to be on the lookout for significant reinforcements in the summer transfer window as Jose Mourinho prepares for his first season in charge at Old Trafford.
The Portuguese coach has already moved quickly to secure his first signing of the summer with a move to bring in defender Eric Bailly from Villarreal.
Pogba has been heavily linked with a move away from Juventus this summer and United are thought to be in the race to re-sign the midfielder in the current transfer window.
Now, The Sun is reporting that United are set for a big-money fight with Real Madrid to secure the France international’s signature this summer.
The same report goes on to say that United are the first club to meet Juventus’ valuation of the player, who they sold for just £800,000 back in the summer of 2012.
