Man United in pole position to sign star midfielder in record transfer deal – report

Manchester United could sign Paul Pogba this summer, according to reports

Manchester United have moved into pole position to sign Paul Pogba from Juventus this summer, according to reports.

The Red Devils have been heavily linked with a move to re-sign the France midfielder ever since he left the club on a free transfer back in the summer of 2013.

Jose Mourinho is already believed to be working hard behind the scenes on Manchester United’s transfer business as he gears up for his first season in charge at Old Trafford.

Now, The Independent is reporting that Mourinho has made Pogba one of his top transfer priorities this summer and wants United to quickly negotiate a deal with Juventus.

The same story goes on to say that the Italian champions value Pogba at around £78.1m, which would make him the most expensive signing from a British club should a deal go through for that amount.

Pogba was released by United in the summer of 2012 after being deemed surplus to requirements by then manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
