Man United launch £38.5m bid for Germany forward – report

Manchester United have submitted a bid for Julian Draxler, according to reports

Manchester United have made an offer for Germany and Wolfsburg forward Julian Draxler, according to reports.

The 22-year-old has been a regular in Joachim Low’s Germany side at Euro 2016 so far, racking up 150 minutes against Poland and Ukraine.

Draxler scored nine times and made five assists in 40 appearances in all competitions for Bundesliga side Wolfsburg last season.

The German forward has previously been linked with a move to Arsenal amid reported interest from Arsene Wenger.

However, according to a report in TransferMarketWeb, the Red Devils have submitted a bid for the Wolfsburg forward, who is thought to be valued at around £38.5m by the German side.

New United manager Jose Mourinho made his first Red Devils signing earlier this month after the 20-time English champions completed a £38.5m deal for Ivory Coast and Villarreal defender Eric Bailly.
