Man United lead race to land £97m star as Mourinho second signing – report
Manchester United are ahead of Real Madrid in the race to sign Paul Pogba from Juventus this summer, say reports
Manchester United have moved to the front of the queue to sign Paul Pogba from Juventus this summer, according to reports in Spain.
The French midfielder, who is currently on international duty at Euro 2016, has been heavily linked with a move away from Juve in recent weeks.
Pogba is believed to be attracting interest from United, who sold the player to the Serie A club for just £800,000 back in 2012.
Real Madrid have also been credited with a serious interest in bringing Pogba to Spain in the summer transfer window.
However, Spanish newspaper AS is now reporting that United are leading the race to sign the star midfielder this summer.
The same report goes on to say that Jose Mourinho’s United are prepared to meet Pogba’s €120m (£97m) asking price and also cover the cost of his agent’s fee for the transfer.
