Manchester United are ready to pay more than £31m to sign Toni Kroos from Real Madrid this summer, say reports

Manchester United are preparing to make a £31m bid to bring Toni Kroos to Old Trafford from Real Madrid this summer, according to reports.

The Red Devils have been linked with a host of players since Jose Mourinho was appointed as the club’s new manager last month.

United announced their first signing of the summer on Wednesday afternoon as they confirmed the arrival of defender Eric Bailly from Villarreal.

The Red Devils also tied veteran midfielder Michael Carrick down to a new one-year contract on Thursday.

However, United continue to be linked with a host of Europe’s top players, and the Daily Express is now reporting that Mourinho is keen to push through a £31m deal to bring Kroos to Old Trafford this summer.

The same report goes on to say that United are prepared to table an offer of more than £30m to land the German World Cup winner.
