Manchester United have made a £28m offer to sign Breel Embolo this summer, say reports

Manchester United are offering to pay £28m to bring Breel Embolo to Old Trafford from FC Basel this summer, according to reports.

Mourinho is believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings as he prepares for his first full season in charge at Old Trafford.

United have been heavily linked with a move to sign the highly-rated Switzerland international in recent days.

Now, German outlet Bild is reporting that United have offered Basel as much as £28m, including add-ons, to bring Embolo to Old Trafford this summer.

The same newspaper report goes on to say that United are also prepared to offer the player a contract worth as much as £4m a year to move to the Premier League outfit.

Mourinho has been tasked with restoring United to the top of English football and is currently in the process of revamping his squad ahead of his first season in charge.
