Man United overwhelming favourites to sign Turkey’s Euro 2016 star

Manchester United are leading the race to sign Turkish midfielder Ozan Tufan

Manchester United are the overwhelming favourites to sign Turkey star Ozan Tufan, according to bookmakers BetStars.

Jose Mourinho has already signed Ivory Coast defender Eric Bailly in a £30m deal from Porto earlier this month as the new United manager looks to leave his imprint on the Red Devils squad.

The 20-time English champions are thought to be on the brink of landing their second summer signing as Borussia Dortmund playmaker Henrikh Mkhitaryan is linked with a £30m transfer to Old Trafford.

However, Turkey and Fenerbahce midfielder Tufan is the latest Euro 2016 to be touted as a potential transfer target for Mourinho’s new-look United side in the summer.

According to BetStars trading director Ian Marmion, the Red Devils are leading the race to sign the Turkish midfielder Turfan.

“Ozan Tufan impressed for Turkey at Euro 2016 and it’s no surprise that he’s been the subject of much interest from several Premier League clubs,” Marmion said. “After a flurry of bets in the last 24 hours, Manchester United have emerged as overwhelming 15/8 favourites to sign him.”
