Man United to make shock £50m move for Arsenal midfielder – report
Manchester United could make a shock swoop for Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey, according to reports
Jose Mourinho has earmarked Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey as a potential alternative to Henrikh Mkhitaryan if Manchester United fail in their attempts to sign the Borussia Dortmund midfielder, according to reports in the English media.
The Red Devils have been touted with a £30m bid for the Armenia and Dortmund midfielder Mkhitaryan over the past couple of days but the Bundesliga runners-up have so far rejected the Premier League side’s advances for their playmaker.
Mourinho has already signed Ivory Coast international Eric Bailly in a £30m deal from Villarreal earlier this month as the new United manager strengthens his options at Old Trafford ahead of the 2016/17 Premier League campaign.
According to The Sun, the Portuguese coach could turn his attention to Arsenal midfielder Ramsey if United should fail to sign the Armenia international in the summer transfer window.
The Gunners originally beat United to the signing of Ramsey in 2008 in a £10m deal from Welsh side Cardiff City.
