Mesut Ozil’s three-word reply when asked if he could return to play in Germany

Mesut Ozil refuses to rule out a possible transfer back to the Bundesliga in the future

Mesut Ozil has taken to social media to admit that he could leave Arsenal to make a return to play in the Bundesliga in the future.

The Germany playmaker’s future has been a source of speculation in recent weeks amid claims in the media that he is a transfer target for Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.

Ozil has been one of the Premier League’s standout performers since his arrival at Arsenal from Real Madrid in the summer of 2013.

The 27-year-old helped Arsenal win the FA Cup in his first two seasons at the club but his 19 assists in the Premier League last term were not enough to propel the Gunners to the title as they ended up second and 10 points behind champions Leicester City.

Arsenal fans will be hoping that Ozil, who has two years left to run on his Gunners contract, is set to stay at The Emirates for many years.

However, during a Q&A session with fans on Twitter on Friday, Ozil appeared to hint that he could return to Germany.

Asked by one fan if he would ever return to play in the Bundesliga, Ozil replied:
