Jesse Lingard is serious about getting into shape for next season at Manchester United

While many of his Manchester United team-mates are either on their summer holidays or still in action at Euro 2016, Jesse Lingard appears to be determined to prove himself to new manager Jose Mourinho.

The Manchester United starlet enjoyed a brief trip to Miami to recharge his batteries earlier in the summer but it is now clear that he wants to make sure he is in top shape for next season.

Lingard has been working with a personal trainer at United’s Carrington training ground in recent days as he bids to get into peak physical condition ahead of the start of pre-season training.

And it appears that his hard work has been paying off, as he posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account on Wednesday and wrote: “Repost. 3 days intense training & at @louie_scott11 has lost 5 pounds and @jesselingard as gained more muscle mass.”

Lingard enjoyed a successful season under Louis van Gaal last term and helped the club win the FA Cup before the Dutchman was sacked.
