Bastian Schweinsteiger shares a joke with former Manchester United target Thomas Muller during Germany training
Bastian Schweinsteiger shared a joke with former Manchester United target Thomas Muller during Germany’s first-team training on Tuesday.
The Bayern Munich striker was a target for the 20-time English champions last season although a move to the Red Devils failed to materialise as Muller opted to stay at the Allianz Arena.
Schweinsteiger, though, opted to swap Bayern for United in a £6.7m deal, winning the FA Cup in his first season at Old Trafford thanks to a 2-1 extra-time victory over Crystal Palace.
United supporters will be hoping that the 31-year-old is selling a potential move to Manchester in the future to his former Bayern team-mate as the pair trained on Tuesday ahead of Germany’s next Euro 2016 game against Poland on Thursday night.
Schweinsteiger posted the above photo and wrote on his Instagram page: “#JederFuerJeden, @esmuellert 😀”
Muller scored 20 times in 31 Bundesliga appearances for Bundesliga champions Bayern, as well as netting eight goals in 12 Champions League appearances.
