Granit Xhaka has taken to social media to express his delight at completing his transfer to Arsenal this summer.

The Switzerland midfielder became Arsenal’s first signing of the summer transfer window after Arsene Wenger moved quickly to bolster his squad ahead of next season.

Xhaka officially put pen to paper on his new contract with the Gunners this week after he and his Switzerland team-mates were knocked out of Euro 2016.

And the 23-year-old used his personal Instagram account to reveal his pride at signing for the north London side after he was given a guided tour of Emirates Stadium on Monday.

Xhaka shared the photo above on his personal Instagram account and wrote: “I’m so happy to be a Gunner #gunnerfamily #gunnergranit #29”

Arsenal are believed to be in the market for a number of other players in the summer transfer window as Wenger looks to further strengthen his squad ahead of next season.
