Loris Karius has taken to social media to thank his fans for their support after he celebrated his 23rd birthday last week.
The goalkeeper is preparing for his first taste of Premier League football this summer after signing for the Reds earlier in the transfer window.
Karius completed a £4.7m move to Liverpool from Bundesliga side Mainz earlier in the summer transfer window to join Klopp’s side ahead of next season.
He has signed a five-year deal with the Merseyside outfit after becoming Klopp’s first signing of the summer transfer window.
And the shot-stopper used his personal Instagram account to thank his fans for their well wishes after he turned 23 last week.
He shared the photo above on the app and wrote: “Thank you for all your birthday wishes & messages!”
Liverpool finished in eighth place in the Premier League table last season in Klopp’s first campaign in charge.
Karius, who will compete with Simon Mignolet for the goalkeeper spot at Anfield, has been handed the number one shirt at Liverpool following his summer transfer.
