Loris Karius is clearly looking forward to getting started as a Liverpool player this summer.

The goalkeeper completed a £4.7m move to Liverpool from Bundesliga side Mainz earlier in the summer transfer window to join Jurgen Klopp’s side ahead of next season.

Karius has signed a five-year deal with the Merseyside outfit after becoming Klopp’s first signing of the summer transfer window.

The Germany Under-21 international is now gearing up for his first taste of Premier League football.

And the shot-stopper used his personal Instagram account to reveal his excitement ahead of his first season in England.

Karius posted the photo above on the app and wrote: “Can’t wait to get started! #LK1 #LiverpoolFC #YNWA #10days”

Liverpool finished in eighth place in the Premier League table last season in Klopp’s first campaign in charge.

Karius, who will compete with Simon Mignolet for the goalkeeper spot at Anfield, has been handed the number one shirt at Liverpool following his summer transfer.
