Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang discusses his future amid Arsenal transfer talk
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang insists that he feels happy at Borussia Dortmund
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has insisted that he is happy at Borussia Dortmund, but insists that he does not know what the future holds for him as he continues to be linked with a transfer to Arsenal.
The Gabon international has been strongly linked with a transfer to the Premier League in recent weeks, with Arsenal said to be keen on luring the forward to Emirates Stadium last season.
Aubameyang scored 36 goals in all competitions last season and has also been linked with a transfer to Real Madrid in recent weeks.
However, the 26-year-old appears happy to stay on at Dortmund beyond the summer.
Speaking to Fussballtransfers.com, Aubameyang said: “I feel really good in Dortmund.
“I don’t know what the future brings, but I feel really good.”
There had been plenty of speculation about his future after he pulled out of international duty with Gabon.
However, the player himself has moved to clarify his position.
He continued: “This is why I cancelled the trip with the Gabon national team. I had meetings with the board to talk about the future.
“It’s strange to lose two key players, especially since they were the backbone of the tram.
“But I trust the club. There are many ways to find solutions and to make good transfers.”
Arsenal have already signed Granit Xhaka this summer as the Gunners look to win the Premier League next season.
