Piers Morgan tweets one-word response after Jamie Vardy’s Arsenal snub

Piers Morgan has his say after Jamie Vardy turns down a move to Arsenal to stay at Leicester

Piers Morgan has branded Jamie Vardy as “overrated” after the striker turned down a move to Arsenal to stay at Leicester City.

The Gunners triggered the £20m release clause in the striker’s contract earlier in the month but the forward was in no rush to make a decision about his future.

Now, it has been confirmed by Leicester that Vardy has agreed to sign a new four-year deal with the Foxes after opting against a move to The Emirates.

The move is a serious snub for the north London side, who were hoping to tempt Vardy to The Emirates this summer.

However, celebrity Arsenal fan and club shareholder Morgan did not appear to be too bothered by Vardy’s decision.

Morgan tweeted on Thursday morning:

Arsenal finished in second place in the Premier League table last season, 10 points behind Leicester as Vardy scored 24 goals in the top flight for the Foxes.
