Ray Parlour tells Arsene Wenger to make this man his second Arsenal signing

Ray Parlour urges Arsene Wenger to consider a transfer bid to sign N'Golo Kante this summer

Ray Parlour has told Arsene Wenger to consider a big-money swoop to bring N’Golo Kante to Emirates Stadium from Leicester City this summer.

The Gunners are thought to be on the lookout for a number of new signings as Wenger gears up for what could end up being his last season in charge at The Emirates.

Kante earned plenty of new admirers for his sparkling performances in midfield for Leicester last season as the Foxes won the Premier League title.

France international Kante has inevitably been linked with a move away from the King Power Stadium in recent weeks.

And former Arsenal star Parlour feels that Wenger should make a move for the midfielder to complete his squad at The Emirates.

Speaking on Sky Sports News HQ, Parlour said: “I’m sure there’s a lot of clubs looking at Kante – he’s been superb for Leicester City.

“He’s like two men in midfield with his work rate and the way he sets play up. You need that platform from midfield – he would be a great signing for Arsenal if they could get him.

“If he was in the Arsenal side, playing behind Mesut Ozil, Santi Cazorla and Alexis Sanchez, then Arsenal would have a formidable midfield.

“I’m sure if he’s available then Arsene Wenger will definitely be interested in a player of his quality.”

Arsenal finished second in the Premier League table last season, 10 points behind champions Leicester.
