Ray Wilkins makes bold prediction about Jose Mourinho and Man United

Jose Mourinho won't settle for anything less than second best at Man United, according to Ray Wilkins

Ray Wilkins is confident Jose Mourinho will be a success at Manchester United.

The Portuguese coach became the third United manager since Sir Alex Ferguson after the Red Devils appointed the two-time Champions League winner as Louis van Gaal’s successor on Friday morning.

Mourinho guided Chelsea to the Premier League and the League Cup during his second spell at Stamford Bridge to continue his excellent managerial record in Portugal, England, Italy and Spain.

However, the 53-year-old was sacked for the first time in December following Chelsea’s woeful start to the defence of their Premier League crown.

But ex-Chelsea and United midfielder Wilkins is confident that Mourinho will restore to United to glory following his appointment as Van Gaal’s replacement last week.

“He will change a bit to the way a Manchester United supporter wants them to play and he will bring a winning mentality as well. Wherever he’s been he’s won. He won’t settle for second best,” Wilkins told Sky Sports.

Mourinho was won top-flight titles in Portugal, England, Italy and Spain during an outstanding managerial career.
