Robbie Savage offers Jamie Vardy blunt Arsenal transfer advice

Robbie Savage tells Jamie Vardy to move to Arsenal this summer...

Robbie Savage has urged Jamie Vardy to make his mind up to join Arsenal this summer.

The Leicester City striker has been heavily linked with a move to The Emirates in recent weeks after Arsenal reportedly triggered the £20m release clause in the forward’s contract.

Arsenal are said to have offered the 29-year-old a four-year contract worth £120,000 a week to move to The Emirates.

Vardy, however, looks to be in no rush to make a decision about his future and is set to wait until after his involvement in Euro 2016 before announcing his choice.

But former midfielder Savage feels that Vardy should be jumping at the chance to move to Arsenal in this summer transfer window.

Savage is quoted as saying by Metro: “Jamie Vardy owes Leicester nothing. He has just fired them to the Premier League title and into the Champions League.

“To be honest, I don’t know what more he can realistically achieve at the King Power. Leicester aren’t going to win the title again.

“And although they can offer Vardy a taste of Champions League football next season, in all likelihood Arsenal can offer it every year

“If I was 29 years old, and the Gunners were offering me £120,000 a week for the next three years , I wouldn’t think twice.

“I’d be off to north London.”

Vardy scored 24 Premier League goals for Leicester last season to help them win the Premier League title, finishing 10 points ahead of second placed Arsenal in the top-flight table.
