The reason why Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s Man United move is delayed – report

Zlatan Ibrahimovic's transfer to Manchester United this summer is being held up because of a loyalty bonus, say reports

Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s transfer to Manchester United this summer is being held up because of a loyalty bonus owed to the player by Paris Saint-Germain, according to reports.

The 34-year-old striker has been heavily linked with a move to United in recent days after he left PSG at the end of last season.

New United boss Jose Mourinho is thought to be keen to bring the striker to the club this summer as the Portuguese coach prepares for his first campaign in charge at Old Trafford.

However, the Daily Telegraph is now reporting that United are set to have to wait until 30 June to sign the striker, so he can collect a large loyalty bonus from PSG for seeing out his contract with the Ligue 1 side.

Speaking on Tuesday, Ibrahimovic told reporters that they would have to be patient when asked about his future.
