Three of Man United’s top summer transfer targets revealed – report

Manchester United have identified John Stones, Raphael Varane and Leonardo Bonucci as their top defensive targets for the summer transfer window, according to reports.

The Red Devils have been linked with a host of players as Jose Mourinho gears up for his first full season in charge at Old Trafford.

Mourinho has already moved quickly to sign defender Eric Bailly from Villarreal as he bolstered his back-line.

However, reports in the media continue to claim that Mourinho is still intent on adding more cover to his defence ahead of next season.

Now, the Manchester Evening News is reporting that United are pondering moves for Stones, Varane and Bonucci as Mourinho looks to further bolster his squad.

The same report goes on to say that it remains unclear whether new signing Bailly will be a regular fixture in the United first team next season.
