Tottenham in fresh talks to make £11m star their first summer signing – report

Tottenham will hold fresh talks with Southampton about the transfer of Victor Wanyama, say reports

Tottenham will hold further talks with Southampton this week about the possibility of signing Victor Wanyama in an £11m deal, according to reports.

The north London side have been linked with a host of players in recent weeks as Mauricio Pochettino prepares his side for a return to the Champions League next season.

The 24-year-old has emerged as a transfer target for Tottenham and the Lilywhites are understood to have tabled an offer of around £11m for the player.

Wanyama has one year left on contract and Spurs feel that they can push through a deal for their valuation of the player.

Now, the Daily Mail is reporting that Tottenham will hold further talks with Southampton this week about the possibility of signing the Kenya international.

The same report says that Southampton paid £12.5m to sign Wanyama from Celtic and want to recoup their money.
