Antonio Conte comments on Chelsea star Eden Hazard

Antonio Conte is hoping to get the best out of Eden Hazard for Chelsea next season

Antonio Conte is backing himself to get the best out of Eden Hazard at Chelsea next season.

The Belgian playmaker is currently on his summer holidays as he recharges his batteries ahead of the new season following his involvement in Euro 2016 with his country.

Hazard came in for plenty of criticism, like many of his Chelsea team-mates, last season after struggling for form and fitness as the Blues ended up 10th in the Premier League table.

Conte has been charged with restoring Chelsea to the top of English football following the sacking of Jose Mourinho back in December.

The Italian coach is currently getting to grips with life at Chelsea after officially taking over at Stamford Bridge earlier this month.

And the new Chelsea boss is hoping that he will be able to get the best out of Hazard and the rest of his squad next season.

Conte is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News HQ: “Chelsea’s habit is to win the title or to stay until the end of the season fighting to win the title, to play in the Champions League and the last season, it was incredible, not only for Eden Hazard but for other players also.

“We know that when you have great players with great talent like Hazard in the team, the expectations are very high. Also, when the season before you have won the title and Hazard has been named the best player in the league.

“It’s important for us to recover Hazard in the best condition: technique, tactical, physical, overall and with the good mentality.”
