Argentina striker’s agent provides Chelsea, Tottenham transfer update
Mauro Icardi's agent and wife insists Argentina striker wants to stay at Inter Milan
Mauro Icardi is set to enter into negotiations with Inter Milan over a new long-term contract, according to the Argentina international’s agent.
Earlier this week, the 23-year-old’s agent and wife Wanda Nara opened the door to the possibility of Icardi leaving Inter this summer amid reported interest from a number of Premier League clubs.
We are looking for a deal to stay. I wish to lengthen the agreement with Inter for a year

Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur have both been linked with a move for the Argentina international in the summer transfer window, although a transfer to the Premier League is yet to materialise.
Icardi was handed the Inter captaincy at the start of the 2015/16 season and rewarded manager Roberto Mancini for his faith after the South American scored 16 times in 33 Serie A games.
And now, Icardi’s agent and wife Nara has provided an update on the Argentina striker’s future in an attempt to quash talk of a move away from San Siro this summer.
“I’ve been working with Mauro a year, I did the last renewal with Inter which went very well,” Nara told RTL – as quoted by Gianlucadimarzio.com.
“It’s known that there are several clubs following Icardi, it’s a normal thing. It would be above all a problem for me, who would have to move four kids between school and the city.
“So the first one wanting to stay in Milan is me, we are all fans of Inter and find it great here. We are in the middle of looking to make an agreement with Inter.
“The conversation around Mauro is different: he loves this club, money doesn’t interest him, only the jersey. So last year we gave up 50% of the image rights to Inter. We had a deal which said that when investment in Inter arrived, there would be an amending of the contract.
