Arsenal bid accepted ahead of third summer signing – report
Arsenal are closing in on the signing of young defender Rob Holding, according to reports
Rob Holding has had a medical at Arsenal ahead of a possible move to The Emirates in the summer transfer window after Bolton accepted a bid for the defender from the Gunners, according to reports.
The Bolton News is reporting that the defender has already completed the first part of his proposed transfer to the north London club and will continue to discuss personal terms with Arsenal this week.
The same report claims that two other Premier League clubs have shown an interest in the defender but that Holding favours a move to Arsenal this summer.
Arsenal are believed to be on the lookout for defensive reinforcements as Arsene Wenger looks to revamp his squad ahead of next season.
The north London side have thus far only signed midfielder Granit Xhaka and striker Takuma Asano as Wenger prepares his side for the 2016-17 campaign.
The Gunners finished in second place in the Premier League table last season, 10 points behind eventual surprise champions Leicester City.
