Arsenal could make Croatia international their fourth signing – report
Arsenal are interested in signing Mario Mandzukic from Juventus this summer, say reports in Italy
Arsenal are set to turn their attentions towards signing Mario Mandzukic from Juventus this summer, according to reports in Italy.
La Gazzetta dello Sport is claiming that the north London side are ready to rival West Ham United in the race for the 30-year-old’s signature following Gonzalo Higuain’s arrival at the club this summer.
Mandzukic could be set to be pushed down the pecking order at Juventus following the club’s big-money move to sign Higuain from Napoli.
The same report claims that Juventus value Mandzukic at around €20m (£16.8m) and that West Ham are also interested in signing the player this summer.
The story goes on to suggest that the player could have the final say on his future this summer, rather than his club.
The Croatia international scored 10 goals in 27 Serie A games for Juve last season to help them win the title.
Arsenal have been linked with a host of players in the summer transfer window but have thus far only signed midfielder Granit Xhaka, striker Takuma Asano and defender Rob Holding.
The Gunners finished second in the Premier League last term.
