Arsenal hold transfer talks with two star strikers – report
Arsenal have held talks about signing Romelu Lukaku and Alexandre Lacazette this summer, say reports
Arsene Wenger has held talks with both Romelu Lukaku and Alexandre Lacazette’s representatives about the possibility of signing for Arsenal this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Sun is reporting that the Arsenal boss is interested in both of the strikers as he looks to bolster his attacking options at Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal are widely believed to be on the lookout for a new striker in the summer transfer window, and Wenger has already appeared to indicate his desire to sign a new attacker with the club’s failed bid to sign Jamie Vardy from Leicester City.
Now, it appears that Wenger is looking elsewhere as he bids to add some more firepower to his squad at The Emirates.
The same report goes on to say that Belgium international Lukaku is Wenger’s first choice this summer, with Lacazette his second option.
Wenger’s side have come in for plenty of criticism in recent seasons for lacking the clinical edge needed to win the Premier League title, with the Gunners ending up in second place last term and 10 points behind champions Leicester City.
