Arsenal have offered Alvaro Morata €9m a year in wages to join the north London club this summer, according to reports in Spain.

Spanish outlet AS is reporting that the striker’s future is currently still up in the air following his return to Real Madrid from Juventus.

The same story goes on to say that the Spain striker is asking for a pay rise if he is going to stay on at the Bernabeu, and that Arsenal have offered the forward €9m a year to consider a move to The Emirates.

Real Madrid recently re-signed the striker from Juventus and it remains to be seen where he will be playing his football next season.

Arsene Wenger has already signalled his intention to sign a new striker this summer with his failed attempt to bring Jamie Vardy to The Emirates from Leicester City.

The Gunners boss is thought to be on the lookout for a number of new players as he bids to revamp his squad ahead of next season, following their disappointing second-placed finish in the Premier League last season.

He has already signed midfielder Granit Xhaka and striker Takuma Asano so far this summer.
