Arsenal offered fresh hope in pursuit of Julian Draxler – report
Arsenal target Julian Draxler could be available for a fee of £52m this summer, according to reports
Arsenal have been offered some fresh hope of signing Julian Draxler after the player informed Wolfsburg that he wants to change clubs this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mail is reporting that Draxler has told the German club that he is keen to secure a transfer away from Wolfburg this summer.
The same story goes on to say that the Germany international, linked with Arsenal, would be available for a fee of around £52m.
It remains to be seen whether Arsene Wenger will make a swoop for the 22-year-old, but the Arsenal manager has clearly already signalled his intentions to bolster his attacking options at The Emirates with his failed bid to land Jamie Vardy this summer.
Arsenal have inevitably been linked with a host of players in the summer transfer window but despite all of the speculation, the Gunners have only signed midfielder Granit Xhaka and striker Takuma Asano.
The north London side have been linked with a move to sign Draxler in the past and it remains to be seen whether Wenger will reignite that reported interest this summer.
