Arsenal ponder swap deal to land Argentina striker – report
Arsenal are reportedly willing to offer Olivier Giroud to Napoli to fund a deal to sign Gonzalo Higuain
Arsenal are considering offering Olivier Giroud to Napoli in a deal to sign Gonzalo Higuain this summer, according to reports.
Gianluca Di Marzio is claiming that Arsenal are back in the hunt to sign Argentina international Higuain and could be willing to offload the France striker as part of the deal.
Arsenal were linked with a move for Higuain back in 2013 before he eventually ended up joining the Serie A side from Real Madrid.
However, the player could be back on Arsenal’s radar once again this summer, if the report is to be believed.
Higuain was one of Europe’s standout strikers last season as he scored 38 goals in 42 games in all competitions for Napoli.
Giroud, meanwhile, managed 24 goals in all competitions for Arsenal as the Gunners ended up in second place in the Premier League table.
