Azpilicueta and Oscar send messages to new Chelsea signing
The Chelsea duo have been quick to welcome Michy Batshuayi to Stamford Bridge
Cesar Azpilicueta and Oscar were quick to welcome new Chelsea signing Michy Batshuayi to Stamford Bridge via Twitter on Sunday afternoon.
The Belgium international signed a five-year deal with the west London side after Chelsea reportedly agreed a £33m deal to sign the striker from Ligue 1 side Marseille.
Batshuayi becomes the first signing of the Antonio Conte era after Guus Hiddink’s interim reign came to an end following the conclusion of the 2015/16 Premier League season.
The 22-year-old scored 17 times in 34 Ligue 1 games for l’OM last season, attracting interest from Chelsea’s Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United.
And Spanish defender Azpilicueta was delighted to welcome another ex-Marseille player to Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon, posting a message for the new signing on Twitter.
