Chelsea could make a last-ditch attempt to sign Axel Witsel from Zenit Saint Petersburg this summer, according to Italian journalist Emanuele Giulianelli.
The Blues are believed to be on the lookout for a host of new players this summer as Antonio Conte prepares for his first season in charge at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea have been linked with a number of names but have thus far only signed striker Michy Batshuayi from Marseille.
Now, Italian journalist Giulianelli claims that Chelsea could make a late swoop to sign Witzel before Napoli secure a deal for the Belgium international.
Chelsea could make a last try before the deal between Witsel and Napoli will be sealed.
